Stay Motivated

1. Learn the music you love! It’s good to be well rounded, but focus on a genre of music that you enjoy the most. It will keep you motivated.

2. Master it, then move on. Don’t try to learn a million different songs and end up frustrated because it’s too much to learn.

3. Set a milestone you can’t miss! Perform in recitals or even at home for family.

4. Find the right spot for your practice sessions. Having a place where you enjoy being is important! I love a window spot looking out in my garden!

5. Play at the time that’s best for you. Experiment with different times of the day when you have energy to learn and have time to relax into the practice session with out anxiety.

6. Track your progress to get hooked! There are great trackers out there to help you see how you are doing, how much time you put in, consecutive days of practice, etc!

7. Get inspired and listen to concerts and favorite recordings. Immerse yourself in the music!
